This week, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the New Nets Project, a big win in the fight against malaria brought to us by Unitaid, the Global Fund, and the Innovative Vector Control Consortium. They’ve rolled out new mosquito nets treated with advanced insecticides in sub-Saharan Africa, tackling regions where old methods were losing their punch. This smart approach is preventing millions of malaria cases and saving lives every day. Hats off to their life-saving work!

It’s natural to find ourselves occasionally looking sideways—comparing our lives with others. But perhaps the most heart-wrenching comparison is when we measure our current selves against the version we think we should have been.

Let’s not dwell on what could have been. Instead, let’s invest our energy in what can still be. Forgive yourself, pick up the pieces, and with gentle steps, move forward. Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step you take is a testament to your strength and resilience.

As Mitch Albom beautifully puts it, We need to forgive ourselves for all the things we didn’t do. All the things we should have done. You can’t get stuck on the regrets of what should have happened.”
